Advice Please!

Andrea

I know this is long, but it would mean the world to me for those of you who can read it through and maybe give any advice, opinions, or share any experiences you may have had that might be similar...

2 weeks ago today I found out I was pregnant. I took a pregnancy test (haha several) and they all had faint lines. I was having some heavy cramping and severe bleeding three days later. I spent the weekend in the hospital for what they diagnosed as a miscarriage. My husband and I were absolutely devastated. I followed up with my OB just two days after I was in the ER, and she said it looks like it was a miscarriage but wanted to continue with more blood work to continue monitoring my HCG levels. In the last two weeks I have had my blood drawn countless times roughly every 48 hours. The hCG levels are as follows...

16 in the ER, 46, 27, 29, 38 (yesterday). The bleeding subsided and stopped in the last day or so, and there's just a little bit of discomfort. The last week I have been dealing with nausea, a little bit of dizziness, and sore breasts. They recommended I go in for some ultrasounds today, both the technician and my OB stated that there is no visible signs of an ectopic pregnancy, as the ovaries and Fallopian tubes looked normal, and that my uterus looked normal. It did not show anything abnormal or any changes in the lining of my uterus... My OB and her midwife are the two people I have seen and been the primaries on my case. They can't seem to figure out where the positive/slightly elevated HCG levels are coming from. So this is where I'm at....

I had a miscarriage a week and a half ago.

I have slowly rising / slightly elevated HCG levels (not decreasing).

My ultrasounds are clear.

If anybody has any advice, has or knows anybody that might have experienced anything similar to this before, it would be great to hear from you. My emotions are through the roof and it's so frustrating that my doctors can't figure out what's going on.
