We got 2 seats and 3 bases. Our sons school didnt allow carseats to stay there so we were pretty much forced to buy 2 seats. We got 3 bases so grandma could have one too. I despised taking the base out to switch into a different car. Totally worth it. My 1.5 year old still fits his weight and height wise in his graco snugride snuglock 35 so weve had some really great use out of it.

If you’re getting an infant seat you just need one seat and you can get two separate bases. If you’re going straight to a convertible I would recommend two seats because convertibles are a pain to move and install

With my first we got two seats and two bases. Then one seat sat in the garage until we sold it on Craigslist. If you plan on taking baby to daycare, you leave the seat with them there, so pretty much, where baby goes, seat goes. Just get two bases and one seat 👌
