Fighting dogs

So I have two jack russells, and they are both boys. They have a tendency of getting into fights to the point where one is tore open. And the only way to get them to stop fighting is to rip them apart... I am about to become a new mother and my husband is away at Academy. So I am alone every week for the next 6 months.... I brought up finding them a new home so we didn’t have to choose one and I wouldn’t have to juggle the issue of them fighting and having a new baby. Is it wrong of me to ask my husband to rehome our dogs for the safety of me and my child?? Am I over reacting?
