Does anyone else hate pointless text conversations?

I personally absolutely hate it when someone messages me with no other purpose than to ask “what’s up?” Especially when you ask it in return and they say “nothing, just bored” 
Maybe thats why it seems so weird to me when people obsess over who messages first? Bc I’ll message if I have something to say, or they’ll message if they have something to say, otherwise we both go about our lives and that’s perfectly fine.

Sometimes when u don’t get to see someone very often it’s good to know they care about you or are thinking about you when they send a what’s up.

No me An my husband do it all day while he is at work lol maybe for us it's not pointless though bc it keeps us close when he works a lot of hours 😂

If its from my best friend or boyfriend then nope. I’ll text back with the speed of thunder 😂
But other people? No. I leave them on read because I know they only text when they need something 💁🏻‍♀️

No. But I hate when I call someone, and they text me "did you just call me?" 🙄 like, didnt it say you had a missed call from me.

Depends on the person. Some people I cherish all messages, especially from my family who I dont get to see much.

My boyfriend and I do that to check up on each other, or when we don't know what else to say. Beats not saying anything.
