Gender disappointment ?

Question

I'm happy to have a healthy baby, but I was really hoping for the other sex.
 I fully understand that I have no control over it, and it is what it is. 
Just still slightly disappointed, but I feel like it's normal to "mourn" what future I had dreamt up with the other sex of baby, right ?

With my daughter I had gender disappointment because we really wanted a boy first and I felt soooo guilty about it. This time we got our boy so it’s been a lot of excitement!

Disappointment about the sex of baby is totally normal!!
I hate when people say “all I want is a healthy baby.” Blah blah blah, so does everyone else! That’s a given. No one wishes their baby wasn’t healthy.
I wanted my first to be a boy but was convinced he was a girl and got excited for that. Went for my ultrasound and found out he was a boy and was a little sad. He appeared healthy my whole pregnancy and then was unexpectedly premature. Spent 10 days in the NICU and had a heart defect. He wasn’t healthy but I don’t love him any less! ❤️

I feel like majority of people go through this but are scared or ashamed to say it so that they don’t seem ungrateful. I literally don’t mind any gender and I will love them equally but me and my husband deep inside wanted a girl. And thank God we are having a girl. If it was a boy I’d be just tiny bit disappointed. But I’m sure we’d get over it pretty quickly once we started the baby shopping ♥️

I don’t mind which sex, I just like my boys name better. Hoping to fall in love with the girls name sooner than later. We will find out in a few weeks.

With my first we wanted a boy so bad. Ended up being a girl. This time around I had a hunch from the very beginning it was our little boy. And it is!!! 😍 were so excited to be getting our little boy and passing on my husbands family name and honoring my late great grandfather 💙💙💙

I was just talking to my husband about this. We both wanted a baby Girl and it turns out that’s what we are having! 
However, while buying clothes, I realized that I’m also kind of sad that I’m not buying little boy clothes. Almost similarly that I have to mourn the loss of not having a boy... even if that’s not what I wanted. Such a strange feeling!

This is my second and last baby. I have a 2 year old boy and now we’re having a girl. I’m thrilled to have one of each, but I cried anyway when I found out it was a girl because my boy will never have a brother!
