Any paralegals on here?

Right now I am 3/4 of the way done with my bachelor's in psychology and criminal justice. I had plans to become an LCSW but for some reason, it clicked today that I could be a paralegal. I've tried to adventure through that route before but ended up opting out. I have my associates and in my state (NC), I can be a paralegal with my AA in any field (doesn't have to be paralegal studies) as long as I also get certified as a paralegal as well before taking the BAR exam. The only thing is, I'll have to pay $6,000 out of pocket for the program. Im 99.9% sure it's a job I'll love but do any current paralegals have any insight into the profession? What do you like or dislike? Anything I should be aware of?
