Finger foods yet? And does your little one have any teeth?

My son will be 9 months in about 2 weeks. He doesnt have any teeth yet, but  give him the rice cakes & yogurt puff things. I break them though & feed them to him. He doesnt yet have the pincer grasp down & im nervous to give him a whole puff bcus he doesnt have teeth.

My son just turned 8 months on nov 22nd and he doesn’t have any teeth yet! He eats lots of food though! If it’s soft I give it to him! I usually make it small pieces anyway! Don’t worry, mama! His pediatrician said their gums are really tough & can grind up a lot of food!

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, those things are meant to melt in their mouths and I’ve read that their jaws are strong enough to grind food anyway so not having teeth shouldn’t really matter. My LO is 8 1/2 months and has 8 teeth already 🙈

My little one has been eating finger foods for a month. I started with puffs, teething cracker, cheerios. Now she is eating everything! Chicken, peas, corn, green beans, beef, potatos, turkey, stuffing, brocoli, apples, pears, bananas, baked ziti! . She hates purees, she makes a huge mess and wont let me spoon fed her (she wants to do it herself, she can't... and only like puree bananas anyway ) I started using pouches too recently. But most of her meals are foods she can feed her self ( chopped small of course). She doesnt even have teeth yet. She makes a mess and I'm always finding food on the floor and in her chair but she has so much fun! Do what is best for your baby, mine really showed me what she liked. First couple times I tried puffs she was so confused but they melt in their mouth (put one in yours and dont chew, they melt so quickly!) But I always make sure I'm right next to her when she is eating incase something would happen.
