Doctors will recommend not having intercourse for at least 24 -48 hours. You can get an infection easier as well. If you do get an infection you can spread it to him.  Overall besides the 24 hour waiting period we would have waited anyhow because I was in a LOT of pain.

I did about 36 hours later because I am in my fertile window and it was not very comfortable. In fact, I am very irritated on the outside of my vagina and still feel bloated and crampy on the inside 😢

Depending on how painful it is for you, you may want to wait. Also, the dye takes a few days to flush out of your system. I spotted for several days following my test.
