I am curious if anyone shares my view on this. I have decided not to post any social media announcements or really any mentions of my pregnancy on social media. My husband is supportive of this (he doesn’t really use social media anyway).

Part of the reason why is that one of my best friends is struggling with fertility and I know how much pregnancy announcements hurt her to see. Obviously she knows I am pregnant but as a way of supporting her, I won’t be posting anything.

I think another reason why is that I feel like I want to keep my pregnancy pretty private. In my experience, people seem weirdly forward with opinions as it pertains to a woman’s pregnant body/actions. I just don’t feel the need to make the Facebook or Instagram universe aware of my pregnancy. The bonus is that I have been able to tell all of my friends and family in person, as I see them.

Anyone else feel the same way?
