Issues naming child after father, please help!

Hi ladies I’m hoping to get some opinions on this matter I’m dealing with at the moment. My partner and I just found out that we are having a boy. It’s always been a thing for me if I have a son to be named after the father. Well my partner already has a son from a previous relationship who is named after him. So when we found out it’s a boy he was like well I already have one named after me so you can just pick whatever you want. That response upset me and now I feel conflicted because I really don’t know what to do. I won’t lie it dose suck that he already has a son who took his name so now it doesn’t feel as special for me.
