Chances of Tubes Tied ?

I am going to be 22 on January 12th. I am due January 25th with my third child. I already have a 2 year old, and a 1 year old. So 3 under 3 😥 each of my pregnancies have had terrible complications, especially during the labor and delivery part. I have had gestational diabetes, preeclampsia (1st baby was induced)  that spikes bad after giving birth too (treated with magnesium), an emergency csection (my 2nd baby almost died), blood transfusion, and leaked spinal fluid. After my 2nd was born, the doctor that delivered him recommended me not to have anymore babies. I got pregnant with my 3rd while on the mirena and am NOT one to do abortions. I'm planning on doing a schedule csection this time, but I really want to talk to my doctor about having my tubes tied this time. I am done having children and my body cant handle it. But everyone tells me that I'm too young so that my doctor might refuse to tie my tubes 😥   any advice?

Generally if you already have 3 kids they won’t object but I’ve never had it done personally so I’m not 100% sure.

I would hope so especially given your history. Talk to your doctor about it. Having 3 babies that need you, you can't take the risk of having another and something happening to you. I'm 27, pregnant with my first and I'm hoping they'll tie mine for me. I know it will probably be a fight but its ridiculous that doctors make you meet all these requirements. It's your body and health and your choice. If this doctor refuses me, I'll go and find one who will.

With your situation your dr should allow you to get them tied but just so you know they can come untied and you get pregnant.. I have a friend who is diabetic and after her 3rd she wasn't supposed to have any more cause she almost died from it, she got her tubes tied and within 3 years she was pregnant with her 4th... so try to get them tied,cut,and burned.

It can’t hurt to ask your doctor. I would definitely discuss it with him or her.

I’m 27 and pregnant with my third. I’m getting my tubes cut.
Other people told me I was too young, Doctors wouldn’t do it and so on, but my doctor doesn’t have a problem with my age. In fact, it was him that told me if I wanted to he would do it before I even got to ask. Talk to your doctor but after 3 babies and with health issues I don’t think they would say no.

It is possible that the doctor may refuse it. However I will say.. my best friend has 3 boys. Currently ages 4,3,2. And she’s 23. So sounds pretty similar to you! So she had 3 under 3 when she had her last. She talked about getting her tubes tied but decided not to and now that she’s passed the newborn stage and the panic of holy crap having 3 under 3, she is super thankful that she decided not to. She has decided that maybe in the future she might want another one. You are very young and you could eventually change your mind. Do what’s best for you but think of the future at the same time. You may change your mind later on. 
For me, having my tubes tied is something I don’t personally think I will ever be able to do.

I had mine done when I was 23 after I had my third baby...I have horrible pregnancies also I don’t carry to term and I hemorrhage when I deliver. I had mine cut and burned but it didn’t work a year and a half later we found out I was pregnant and by some miracle he didn’t implant in my tube.
