Have you ever gotten a tampon “lost” inside of you?

I’m absolutely terrified of getting a tampon “lost” while I’m wearing it. One of my biggest fears is TSS so I try to be careful, but you can’t really help it if a tampon is up too high and is “lost.” Ik that a tampon can only go so far. I’m a virgin and I can’t even (TMI) finger myself bc 1) I’m never relaxed enough and 2) I’m scared to. Plus, when a tampon is “lost,” you have to insert 2 fingers to grad the string, or hopefully grab the tampon if the string disconnected. Any advice for me if a I had ever had a lost tampon experience? 
P.S. I just want to prepare for the worst and be confident in getting a tampon out of this were to happen. Sorry for the long post, I’m just pretty scared of it happening to me 😂

I kinda equate your fear of this to my fear of the Bermuda Triangle when I was in elementary school. It’s a scary thought if something happens but you’re worrying too much about something that honestly you’ll probably never encounter. Like you said, the tampon can only go so far so it can’t get lost forever. As long as the string is hanging down when you insert it you shouldn’t have a problem

My mom has. The string broke & She had to go to the hospital & surgically remove it out.

I wouldn’t say it got lost, but I felt like I didn’t push it in enough so I went to push it in more from the bottom and couldn’t feel the tampon at all. Like all I felt was the inside of my vagina. Didn’t worry about it tho bc the string was hanging out. Pulled it out an hour later and it was fine.
