Abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

I had my daughter August 31st and bled for over 6 weeks about 8 or 9 weeks (my 6th week post partum I bled heavy heavy clots size of golf calls or bigger I went to er ,followed up with my doctor they said it was normal) i got my first period November 10th about a week after all my post partum bleeding finally stopped and it was a normal cycle then a week after it ended I started bleeding again and is continuing to bleed , had horrible cramps at the beginning ... p.s. before I had my daughter my cycle was very normal came on time just lasted for about 7-9 days wasn't very heavy normal-medium flow & I didnt suffer with cramps.. any idea of what could be going on I called my doctors office they were suppose to get back with me on the 27th but never did
