Is spotting considered a period?

Okay, basically I want to know if spotting is considered a period? My cycles are regular like clock work. My cycles are normally medium to heavy for 7 days I fill up pads on the 1st-5th day. My normal dates for my period is the 11th-18th. This pass November I got what I’m going to consider a period on the 5th-15th I’ll say give 2 days for it to completely stop. My first 4 days was spotting (1st day was pink) the rest was brown. On the 9th-10th I began to bleed red with clots (they were small/runny like). Come the 11th-15th it went back to brown spotting until it completely stop.

Have anyone else period spotted like this before?
