monistat question

hello. i’ve had this horrific three month yeast infection from hell. also my first yeast infection. i’ve been to a doctor several times. after a combination of terconazole and diflucan, it was almost gone, so my doctor recommended i try monistat 7 day internal cream to continue fighting it, along with more diflucan. it now looks like it is gone as i have no more discharge and very little itching left, and i have one day left of monistat. i suspect the last of the itching is irritation from the monistat. how long after finishing monistat did you continue to have irritation from it? even after i finish it, i still plan to return to my doctor after a few days to be sure it’s really gone this time. i just wondered if any lingering itching is yeast infection returning. i’m in a ldr and i just want to be able to have sex when i see my boyfriend again without fear of making the situation worse lmao it’s been four months
