Clomid/ varicocele repair

So, turns out my husband has 19 motile sperm which is still not good, has low Testosterone levels and was prescribed clomid to help. My husbands urologist recommended we get his varicocele repaired ASAP to see some improvements, does anyone have an experience/ success stories? I’m really nervous but compared to his primary provider who said it would be imposible for us to ever have biological kids the urologist seems very hopeful...
