Family drama...taking advantage of financial situations

Y’all tell me your thoughts on this because it’s playing with my mind.

My husband has a business and he gave my step sister a job there. And I’ll just be forward and say that my husband does well and I’m sure she realizes that. We have nice things and live in a nice home.

It is our company Christmas party this Friday and she texted my husband saying she couldn’t come because she didn’t have anything to wear. So my husband being the kind man he is says “no worries just go and buy an outfit and I’ll pay for it”.

A few days go by and she says she got the outfit and it was $900!

She said because of her size that’s all she could find. She’s a totally average sized girl, nothing out of the ordinary at all. Like does the gap or old navy or even H&M not having anything? It’s not a black tie event. It’s just a restaurant with a dress code that says no jeans or sneakers.

But I feel like she’s taking advantage of my husbands generosity and looks and him and thinks...he has the money, he can afford it.

What do you think? Was spending $900 out of line?
