Miscarriage? Confused?

When you had an miscarriage would you still get a bold pregnancy test? Or would it be faded? Cause the doctor said the test of hcg level say I had a failed pregnancy but my test is bold positive so I’m confused? And when I went to the ER they saw a baby and a heartbeat

Doctors aren’t always correct but HCG levels that aren’t rising as they should typically means a miscarriage is happening/will happen. A home pregnancy test can read a VERY low HCG level so they’re not accurate in determining anything other than whether you have like 5 HCG in your system. I wouldn’t be too crazy unless they found no heartbeat and you had bleeding + cramping though.

If you did miscarry, you can get a POS test for up to (I believe) 4 weeks depending on HCG levels because it takes awhile for the hormones to leave the body. Personal experience, the hospital usually half asses everything. Personally I'd ask for a second (or 3rd) opinion from another doc and not the ER if at all possible. Good luck!

Why did he doctor believe you will miscarry? There are various reasons you can miscarry even after seeing a heartbeat, they don’t necessarily mean you 100% will but it’s good to be prepared. One being the growth stops and another common one is the sac being too small so the fetus outgrows it and ultimately you miscarry. 
It will take a couple days following a miscarriage for your hcg to drop to zero so you will still test positive.
