Telling people about the baby

I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant. I went to my technical first appointment today but I’ve actually had three ultrasounds where baby was kicking and had a very strong little heart beat. I don’t have my next appointment till like January and I definitely wanted to tell people before Christmas. I have no bad feelings about it and I really wanna make one of those cute posts about it and I wanna tell my family. My boyfriend doesn’t wanna tell his family yet because we know he will be mad. Is 10 weeks too early? My doctor said everything looked perfect but a lot of people say to wait longer.
