What did I do wrong??

Question

So, tonight my husband was about to start playing video games after we had been watching Netflix with our 10 month old son for awhile, so I asked, “Since he’s(our son) is playing good, can I go take a bath?” I always ask because I know he gets stressed out if I just tell him I’m going to take a bath no matter what our son is doing. He responded, “I knew this was going to happen.” So, I simply said, “Fine I won’t take a bath.” Then, he started telling me to just go take one, but definitely didn’t sound like he wanted me to. I sat on the couch for awhile and finally decided I was going to take a bath because I deserve after chasing around kids all day. When I went into the bathroom I realized I hadn’t asked a question that had bugging me, so I popped my head out and asked, “Why didn’t you respond to me today?” 
Him: “I was busy with him(the baby)”
Me: “Well I messaged you around 11 and you didn’t pick me up until 3:30”
Him: “Just go take a bath before I change my mind.”
Me: “Before you change your mind?!?”
Him: “Just go.”
Me under my breath: “before you change your mind???”
I don’t know what happened I always thought I asked to take bath as a polite thing to make sure I wasn’t going at bad time, but he’s never asked and he doesn’t ask for anything really. It’s bothering me, like why did he just snap on me and treat me like I’m his child.

Well you don’t have to ask to take a bath. I wouldn’t if I were him either. If my man isn’t doing anything serious, I TELL him I’m going to bathe lol. A video game is something that can wait so if I were you I’d just say I’m going

You did nothing wrong hun... I see this a lot with moms—myself included. I always find myself asking for permission to do things while my husband watches our kids—like taking a bath, going for a walk, running to the store... The guilt he throws at me is utterly ridiculous. It’s even more ridiculous that I feel I need to ask him to watch OUR kids alone for a little bit so that I can spend some time on myself. He will often snap at me, roll his eyes, sigh... like watching the kids is an inconvenience. I have friends that deal with the same thing... Why do we feel the need to ask for some time for ourselves? Why is it a problem when we do? My husband comes and goes as he pleases... does as he pleases without a second thought as to what I think. All hell would break loose if I did that..

Girl stop asking. You’re an adult and can take a bath whenever you damn well please. He’s a grown man and can stay off his game to watch HIS son while you take a bath. If he can’t do that he has a serious problem

It does seem like you wanted to pick an argument though by bringing up the fact that he didn’t respond to you earlier.

That's his child as well as yours.  He is his blood and is able to take care of him while you go and take care of yourself.   That's unacceptable behavior.
