Food before one is just for fun. Any food baby is getting before one isn’t for nutrition - that is still coming from breast milk or formula. It’s just for them to learn how to eat. You can wait as long as you’d like.

Totally okay. Food is just for fun until a year old! I never did purées with my daughter, went straight to soft foods. Her favorite was steamed carrots and broccoli.

We started solids around 5 months as cleared by our pediatrician. We prefer purées, simply because if my child has an allergic reaction, I will be able to pinpoint exactly what the reaction was to.

My doctor had me start solids at 4 months because my supply couldn't keep up. Breastfed until 9 months and switched to solids and formula.

Honestly I would ask your dr to get the right answer for you :) but for me, i started mine on stage 1 baby foods at 6 months. Good luck!

Just offer soft foods you are eating, and let the baby take what they want. That’s how my aunt did it... her baby loved avocados!!
