Help!! Am I in love with 2 people?

I met a guy when I first moved to my current home in a new state of Louisiana after being in Texas 24 years. The dude was super sweet and helpful in helping me adjust to the new place. We kind of formed a liking for one another but didn’t want to date so he ended up being more of a best friend with an extremely strong bond then I met my bf. I was still texting the other dude as friends but my bf flipped out on me and told me I couldn’t befriends with the guy and I had to stop talking to him. I feel like he was there at an important time and I just can’t let him go(I find myself still texting and emailing the other guy). We can still be friends with getting more than that but my bf doesn’t want us to. What should I do?
