That's a tough one. When people ask me what I want for Christmas, I usually tell them things that I need/want, but probably won't get around to getting myself. I will say for months, sometimes  years, that I am going to buy a certain item, but never do. So it is always very helpful when other people get those things for me lol
I always enjoy opening gift much more than I do cash, but sometimes cash is more helpful. Usually when someone gives me cash as a gift, instead of putting it toward something I want, I buy groceries or put gas in the car with it. Nothing exciting, but it helps, especially since I spend more than I probably should on others for Christmas. 
I know I didn't really pick a side, but I usually receive both from different people, so it all works out lol

Cash! I will admit that there is nothing like opening gift while wondering what is on the inside; however, I would rather take the money and do something with that will really satisfy me. This is what we should be looking to do during the holidays anyway — help people fulfill their needs and desires.

Depends.. from husband and friends i want gifts. I love the excitement and surprise. From family I want money, they surprised me enough for 30 years 😂
