It took time - BUT here's how we got our BFP...
So we did it! After 1.5 years, we are baking a little life and I want to share hope and how we did it.

So, first things first... we found it a hard road to follow. I came off the pill June/July 2017 and had my cycles return immediately, I felt so luck! BUT, 30 ish day cycles turned into 55 and then no cycle at all from November 2017 - May 2018

I already had hypothyroidism but was diagnosed with PCOS late 2017. Paid for a private specialist to get the diagnosis and get me on Clomid ASAP! Although it was hard, with no period - I felt like a broken woman. I was told I needed to loose 5% body weight before he would give me clomid. I lost the 5% (plus a little extra) and was given Provera to re-start my cycle in April, and in May I started my first course of Clomid.
I started getting regular cycles again (woo) but no luck in falling pregnant. I tried every vitamin under the sun, pre-seed, opk timing, baby asprin, fertility tea, accupuncture, you name it...I did it. And NOTHING

I didn't temp because I'm a mouth breather with very disrupted sleep pattern and a memory of a goldfish.....then, I came across a product called Ovusense. A VAGINAL BBT device. Now, don't freak - it's very safe and many women conceive within 3 cycles using it and it's amazing for women with PCOS. I also, have a weird 'thing' about putting anything UP my lady parts, that's not a penis basically (yes, including tampons). Can't explain it, just had a phobia. But Ovusense is so small and very smooth, first time I used it I realised it's no big deal and now my phobia was cured!

Ovusense is a clinically proven Fertility and Ovulation Monitor that uses your unique data to give you an 8-day fertile window with 24 hours advanced prediction of ovulation.
Now, OPKs always indicated I ovulated on CD 16, but actually I was a little later according to Ovusense (CD 19) AND I found out from the chart that my progesterone looked a little low and I had a shortish LP (11 days, which isnt the worst but not ideal either).

So 2nd cycle using Ovusense I took action to improve our chances and this is what I did...I took prenatal vitamins (Conceive), took Ovasitol (inositol powder) 2x a day until ovulation. Co-Q10 (until BFP), baby aspirin (daily, still), B6 to lengthen my LP and increase chance of implantation, Macca route (until BFP), Clomid (CD 2-6), and my usual medication. I then used Castor oil packs for a few days leading up to ovulation, (read this site which tells you more about it https://raisedgood.com/five-fertility-secrets-wish-id-known-sooner/)......... I used pre-seed during our BD sessions (CD14, CD16, CD17) - FYI, Ovusense confirmed ovulation this time on CD 17 (still a day later than i thought i usually ovulate). Used a conception plug called FERTILETTE after BDing on CD 16 and 17 for a few hours, before going to bed and having to remove- to insert Ovusense.
And FINALLY, a natural progesterone cream to try improve my lining and increase my progesterone (and increase temperature).

2x a day, rotating the application spot every time - which I will now continue to use until I've seen my Dr at 8 weeks (4 weeks away) if she decides to give me a medicated progesterone, else I will continue to use it until safely into my 2nd trimester. And that's it. I tried to remain as relaxed as calm as possible Turing the 2ww, tried not to over analyse any symptoms though strangely, everything i used to analys before (cramps, sore boobs), i didn't notice this time. I mean... my boobs have been tender since CD1 for some strange reason this cycle... but at least it helped not to think about my boobs too much as they have been tender for weeks. My husband and I took a holiday to Germany the weekend just gone, to enjoy the Christmas market and we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves, had sex because we WANTED to, not HAD to, drank loads of Gluhwein.... It was an awesome mini break. I wasnt really feeling any cramps or back ache until the day we were leaving, I had them (VERY mildly I might add), but instinctively I guess...as we walked around town and the toy museum...I asked him if we could just walk at a slower pace that day. I had a big latte from Starbucks that morning, which made me feel a bit queezy for some reason, but thought nothing of it and we flew home that evening and I realised 9n the foight home...hmm, I'm due on in a few days and I have no back pain I usually get before AF and my temps are still high. So I said to myself, I'll test first thing in the morning but I KNOW it will be negative, it always is after all....Went to sleep with Ovusense inserted, took the reading in the morning and temps were still above coverline...hey ho, let's pee!! Dipped my very cheap stick into the pot of urine, saw old faithful pop up immediately (the Control line)...Yep, it's going to be another negative, bring on AF in 2 days. Wiped myself and as I was wiping and just about to pick up the test and chuck it away....there it was!

A second line! I felt sick and trembled with excitement...immediately grabbed the Clear Blue 6 days early test, ripped it open, dunk it in the pot of first morning urine with a tremendously trembling hand...and the blue line popped up immediately!!!! And I mean, immediately. So just as fast, grabbed the expensive digital test, stuck it in and waited....

I couldn't believe it!!! One of my dogs jumped on the bed to give me a kiss (as she does all the time) and I whispered my secret into her ear. My husband was working from home that morning (day after we got back from Germany). Looked under our dresser for the announcement box I put together for him, 1.5 years ago- absolutely caked in dust. In it, a baby onesie that says 'I'm proof my daddy does more than gaming' which I put in a PS4 case. I created a Call of Duty (a game) cover to put around the case to say 'Call of Poopy' instead (he enjoys gaming...fyi) and instead of a weapon on the cover, I replaced it with a image of a baby bottle. Put the onesie inside the game. Inside the rest of the box was also new born red Converse trainers, a bib and another onesie saying, Crawl, Walk, Ski (we love skiing and met on a ski season where I was a resort rep and he a chalet host... went back to the resort we met 7 years later where he proposed) and the tests. He looked SO confused when he opened it. He's clueless about timings and ovulation etc...and so I had to explain to him the basics like, I'm 4 weeks pregnant even though we conceived 2 weeks ago...blah blah blah. He got SO excited! He said he wanted to tell the world. He went out to pick up dinner and he said he felt like skipping. He gave a homeless man £5 and said he felt awful that he had nothing and yet he was going back to a beautiful house, two dogs and his pregnant wife. We put up our Christmas tree that evening and it's going to be a day we will never forget.
That's it, that's a LONG story, but it's how we did it. If you managed to read it all, thank you - and if you skimmed it to read what we did different this month, I hope it helps!!! Now I'm wishing for a very sticky bean 🤞🤞🤞
