My little girl is finally here

My doctor set my pit induction date for 11-17-18 due to me having a low amniotic fluid scare, I was 40+4 and thought I’d be pregnant forever! We had to be there by 5:30am to be induced, when we got into my room a nurse tried starting my iv and after three tries had to go get another nurse to do it (I can’t stand needles btw) after they got my I’ve started I tried resting but really couldn’t because I was too excited and nervous! I was already having strong contractions that I didn’t feel at all when I went in and was only dilated to a 3. I tested positive for group b strep so I had to finish a round of antibiotics before I could start on pitocin it took about two hours after I started pitocin for me to start feeling contractions and they got intense fast, I went three hours of intense labor before I gave in and asked for an Epidural, the first time they put it in it didn’t work and they had to redo it, I don’t regret getting the epidural because the pain I was feeling without it was terrible but ever since I got it I have this area on my lower back that is almost completely numb except for one nerve running through it that burns when I move or if I got touched there and the man that did it tripped on my iv and pulled it (which was awful). After I got the epidural I got really tired and I rested for about 20 minutes, and then they gave me the peanut ball for between my legs, as the nurse was walking out I told her I felt a ton of pressure all of a sudden and she decided to check me, I went from a 5 to a 10 in a matter of minutes! We started practice pushes and the doctor walked in after about 3 and they could see her head. The doctor got ready and I was pushing again when someone came in and said something and my doctor walked straight out of the room and the nurse told me not to push, my daughters head was already coming out when this happened. After about 30 minutes the doctor came back in and I started pushing again. At 3:21 weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long my daughter Rhyley was born! I could never describe the way I felt when they handed her to me for the first time.

Here she is two weeks later!
