Does anyone bring their young children or toddler to prenatal appointments?

My 18m daughter was laying on my chest for our first ultrasound. It made it even more special because she kept saying ‘baby baby’.

We took my 18 month old to the first appointment, which was also her normal nap time. It was not the best idea. Lol

I’m a stay at home mom (for the most part) but my soon to be two tags along with me and daddy some of every where. We’re terrified of daycares (because my kid can’t actually tell me if something happens to her). And she’s never been to one. Our doctor just love seeing her too. She always has a treat for her.

We took our two year old to my first prenatal appointment this week, my husband also came along and helped with keeping him preoccupied. He actually did really good for the two hours we were there, was super interested in the ultrasound and heartbeat. We even have it on video, he chuckled once he heard the heartbeat. 
I think alone I probably would’ve have difficulty keeping him happy while trying to get bloodwork, ultrasound, and a pap done, but having help with me made it a lot easier.

I do ,i bring my 2 kids (4,2yrs old )the ob says its fine  but now i have to reschedule now because my 4wk visit to see him again falls on the 26 but all my kids will be off for a wk literally (5kids)they dont allow all of them .kind of sucks wheres the family members when u need a sitter

My midwives encourage us to bring kids. I have a 3 yr old and he went with me to my 1st visit. They had some matchbox cars for him and one my of midwives even got down on the floor and played with him while we talked. They don't do ultrasounds in-house but he did fine while I was getting blood drawn for my panels. 
I would say call your care provider's office and see what they prefer?

We don’t do ultrasounds in office, so they allow it. Obviously if they’re disruptive it might be a different story, but I see women with their children/babies alll the time in there.

I had to recently due to my normal baby sitter being unavailable and my husband being called in for a last minute night shift. My appointment was at 4 and that’s when my husband leaves. Thank goodness my toddler had daycare still otherwise I would have just had to reschedule. Turned out just fine... my 5 year old did his homework, had a snack, then got his own print out of the baby.

I brought my son to my initial visit, he’s a year and a half. Normally a perfect angel in public (I’m blessed on that behalf) but he was quite impatient in the waiting room. Then when I had blood drawn I almost passed out 😭 nothing is scarier then being alone with your baby in a doctors office almost passing out and someone wheeling you in a wheel chair and another nurse wheeling him in his stroller. After that either daddy comes with me if they are doing blood work, or I find a sitter just in case.

Mine will only let children under 5 come if there is another adult there besides you. We took my son to the ultrasound (he will be 2 in feb) and it was craziness lol most appts I’ll be going alone and will just get my sister to watch him.
