Cardiologist referral?

My doctor refered me to a cardiologist after telling her ive been passing out and am weak. My heart starts beating hars and fast and i get dizzy loose vision and pass out. Does anyone know why i would go to a cardiologist? I dont have a heart murmer while not pregnant or anything.

Hey! This isn’t exactly the same but I was faint a lot, just really tired and had a hard time breathing and my OB sent me to a Pulmonary specialist. I was soo nervous cause it sounds so serious! Turns out I just needed a special kind of daily inhaler type medicine! Hope this puts your mind at ease ❤️

They want to rule out SVT, heart defect, POTS etc. I work at a cardio office. It’s usually just pregnancy hormones 🤗

Hey! I just went through this process myself. I never completely passed out, but was close. She just wanted to make sure there was no alternate cause. Basically, just ruling out options on what it could be. I had to wear a heart monitor for 14 days and get an echocardiogram. Everything was fine. 
She also drew blood for thyroid, and something else I can’t remember. 🙈 You’ll be fine!
