Nap schedule for 4-month-old
What is your baby's nap schedule like?
Everything I read online says to keep baby awake no more than 1.5-2 hours between naps so that's what I've been doing. On this schedule, my daughter normally has 4 naps per day.
However, we had my daughters 4-month checkup today and the pediatrician recommended only 2 naps per day (for about an hour each).
I thought napping was super beneficial for their developing brains, but the pediatrician said if they're sleeping so much then that's less time spent on development activities/play. Also might negatively impact their nighttime sleep if they're sleeping too much during the day. I see both sides but I'm wondering what others think about this.
