Can you ovulate 3 weeks before your period?

I have a 31-35 day cycle. I swear I ovulate 3 weeks before my period. But everything I read says you do 2 weeks before.

My cycle is long like yours too usually between 30-34. I kinda go off my estimated ovulation date on here, but start testing about a week sooner, just in case. Then after my peak I stop testing and just hope we caught it. Having irregular/longer cycles definitely makes it harder.

My doc said getting your period 12-16 days after you ovulate is considered normal, but everyone is different. You shed the lining of your uterus (have a period) because of the change in hormones because your egg(s) didn’t get fertilized, so maybe the timing of your hormones is a little off. Are you consistently 3 weeks between ovulation and AF?
