So I am 39 weeks pregnant and Monday is my due date. 2 days ago my doctor checked me and said I was 4 cm dilated which is good. Since my due date is the 10th she said it’d be a good idea to go ahead and schedule for me to get induced which happens to be the day after, so Tuesday Dec 11.

Im a first time mom so im super scared and I’ve heard that an induction is harder on your body and the contractions are worse then if your body were to go into labor naturally? Is this true ladies.

Im also feeling disappointed because I want him to come on his own time when he’s ready. Ive heard people go until 41 weeks so I was also thinking maybe telling the doc to push back the induction date that way i give my body a couple more days?? Idk im just having mixed emotions. Im trying to walk and a I started drinking raspberry leaf tea and been eating some spicy foods to try and get him to come.
