What are contractions!????

‪Someone remind me how contractions work? False labor, the real thing, tightness, no tightness, is cramping considered a contraction? Do you time how long the contraction lasts or just how far apart? ‬
I have cramping is that considered contraction?????

I was going to post this exact same question. I get off and on cramping sometimes mild sometimes pretty intense. But I don’t really notice a tightening so I have no idea if these are even considered contractions?

I'm currently trying to figure out if I'm having contractions. I've had cramps for weeks but that's supposed to be Braxton kicks.

Right.. So confusing.. Im laying in bed with my lower back aching and belly tightness..  But its so hard to tell when its starting and stopping..
Especially when the back ache is seemingly constant..

What are contractions!????
