Bed suggestions - 2 babies

Our daughter will be 1 year old when our other daughter is born. We have 1 crib that can convert. Would you buy another crib?

My aunt suggested getting this

We could put the 1 year old on the bottom and just not attach the ladder for a while. My MIL said bunk beds are dangerous and she needs bars. I feel like it’s close enough to the ground that she should be okay. We do have a portable crib that we could put the baby in for a little.

Any suggestions?!
