**TW** Forgiveness
I forgive you…
I forgive you, not because you asked for forgiveness. I forgive you, because I rather spend my days loving over hating.
So,
I forgive you, for implying I sexually assaulted a child.
I forgive you, for defaming my character.
I forgive you, for dividing our families.
I forgive you, for using my past traumatic experiences as a weapon.
I forgive you…
There is an old saying that goes something like this; “Listen carefully to how a person speaks about other people to you. This is how they will speak about you to other people.”
When a grown adult, pokes fun at a child’s choice of clothing, that should be a warning sign.
When a grown adult, gossips about her friends troubled sex life, that should be a warning sign.
When she is so kind and sweet to her friend’s face, but as soon as she leaves the room, she comments on how big her butt has gotten; because she JUST had a baby. That should be a warning sign.
When a grown adult, shows disgust for how parents of a still birth cope with their loss. That should be a warning sign.
I also forgive myself, for not noticing these warning signs for what they were, sooner.
I forgive myself, for turning the other cheek one too many times.
I forgive myself, forever thinking I could trust you.
I forgive myself, forever thinking you were genuine.
I forgive myself, for allowing you to treat my parents the way you did.
I will be praying for you and your family.
I will pray that one day you understand the true meaning of unconditional love.
I will pray that one day you will show more compassion and empathy for those who are different than you.
I will pray that one day you will learn love conquers all.
Until then,
Farewell.
