Fertility Clinic Appointment ugh!!

I really hate myself at times for not being able to get pregnant like a normal woman. I made an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist after my 2nd gynecologist told me that I should just go to a fertility clinic. She diagnosed me with PCOS in September and I started taking metformin. It has not worked. I still have not gotten my period nor get pregnant.

I just wanted to see if you guys have been to a reproductive endocrinologist and what the first appointment consists of? Any success stories to give me hope. However, I do rather honest comments over sweet comments that will give me false hopes. How long did it take you to get pregnant from the first appointment? How’d you do it? What worked for you best? What didn’t work? Anything you can think of. I have been trying to conceive for almost a year now and only got three periods, which one was forced with Provera.
