1 year old won’t ween from bottle?

Question

My son will be 1 next week, and starting next week he won’t be able to have a bottle at day care. 
He also refuses to eat table foods. He’ll eat baby food from a spoon but he won’t eat any table foods. I tried a gerber meal with the little noodles and sauce and he will spit the noodles out. 
All he wants is a bottle and puffs.
Any suggestions?

Don’t offer the bottle at all. A sippy cup should be his only option. He will whine and cry but don’t give in.

Throw the bottle away and simply don’t offer it anymore. Try something with a soft straw in it so he still can suck but it’s not a bottle

I don’t have advice about the bottle. A thought about the table food though - maybe try food you make rather than the processed food. That might taste better.

He should be able to drink from a sippy cup. Get rid of the bottle cold turkey. He's going to be upset, offer the cup, hide the bottles. It'll take a few days of fussing.

I love my daycare so much! 0-2 is in one room so we werent rushed to do anything bc lo hit some arbitrary age deadline! Our lo had a hard time switching from the bottle as well. Water out of a sippy no problem, but milk had to be warm and in a bottle.  (Honestly he is almost 2.5 and will still only drink warm milk) Our bottles (life factory) have sippy cup lids so he still uses the same 'bottle' but it has the hard sippy lid in the morning. We got him to transition at around 1.5 years.  And now he drinks warm milk out of a normal glass at meals.

My daughter liked her bottle too  I started giving her a 360 cup to get her used to it but she could still have her bottle. After a while  I would only offer her the sippy cup and put the bottles away.  She looked for the bottle a couple times but I think she realized it wasn’t coming back 
I think one thing is to find a sippy cup your kid likes. My daughter would only drink out of the 360 kind

Bad parenting but my son is 2.5 years old has a sippy cup can drink from water bottles even regular cups but still loves his transition milk in his bottle it's his thing has one in the morning one for his one nap and one before bed just for his own sake. He eats food he drinks everything from juice water to regular milk but he just like a bottle 🤷‍♀️

My son is 17 months and we are on day 4 of no bottles. He had a little melt down the first few mornings when he saw the sippy cup and not his bottle but once he starts drinking he gets over it, not all babies are ready to give up the bottle at 1. My mum told me I’m taking the bottle away too soon as me and my sister were nearly 3 when we stopped having a bottle (evening milk)

Exactly why baby food isn't helpful for babies and sippy cups should be started at 6 months. Toss the bottles in the trash and make the switch to sippy cups. And stop giving baby food. There's no need for it whatsoever.

Find a new daycare. Your child shouldn’t be rushed just because they turn 1. My 9 month old is off of bottles but it can be hard for some kids
