Mirena and pregnancy symptoms

Amy • Biz owner, was a teen mom to a now 18 year old 🩷. Baby #2 was a 5 week NICU warrior born @ 34 weeks in August 2020 💙. Baby #3 born at 33+2 in June 2023, currently in NICU 🩷

So I had a Mirena IUD put in back in March of this year, I had been using them since my daughter was born in 05 but had to be hormone-BC-free in 2017 because of a surgery I had. When I got my first IUD, my periods had stopped within 2 months and I never got them again. Not even when I took one IUD out and put the new one in. Last year when I wasn’t on any birth control at all my periods were every 26 days (exactly like they had been before using the IUD) and were very light (3 days max) with no uncomfortable symptoms. I have never had PMS symptoms in my life. No bloating, fatigue, mood changes, sore breasts, nothing. The only thing I would sometimes get was a “heavy” sensation in my pelvic area a day or two before my period showed up. Other than that, nothing. I’m one of the lucky bitches, I don’t even get cramps DURING my period.

Well regardless of my previous experience, I have had my period every month since having this Mirena put in, every 26 days like clockwork. Pissed. I talked to my doctor and she said some women just continue to get their periods, doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with the IUD. Some women stop ovulating, some don’t. About a month after having it put in I had to go back to have it adjusted because it had moved out of place. I’m a little worried it may have slipped again, I don’t feel anything in my cervix but

* Period is 17 days late

* I’m EXHAUSTED

* Have to pee almost 3x more than usual

* I feel queasy every time I eat

* Boobs are too sore for a bra (no nipple/areola color change

* Heavy feeling in pelvic area and occasional“pulling” sensation

* Possible IB about a week after ovulation (According to glow I ovulated on November 8th. I got a pink streak and lots of mucous on my TP on November 14th)

I took a generic hpt 2 days ago and it was negative. At first I didn’t think anything of the symptoms because I figured it was an adjustment to the IUD hormones. But now I’ve been feeling all of these symptoms for 3 weeks and they aren’t getting better. Could I still just be adjusting?
