Natural birth AND gsb positive?

My first I tested negative. I was able to freely walk the halls and do what I felt was necessary for birth (until I stalled out at 9cm but that is another story for another time) 
This time around I teated positive and I’m slightly concerned about the procedure of having to have an iv and antibiotics as soon as possible after my water breaks. I was planning on laboring at home as much as possible before heading to the hospital but that’s no longer an option:( anyone been through a natural hospital birth being gsb positive?

I tested positive, and labored for 12 hours at home before going to the hospital. I was in labor for another 10 hours before my water even broke, and it was another 2 before my daughter was born.
There is such a low risk of GBS affecting the baby, that I say stay at home for as long as you like (as long as water hasn't ruptured  as that can make it more of a danger), and then head to the hospital. 
It's one of those things that you can test positive one week and then by labor you aren't positive anymore, or it's the complete opposite, and some are positive during labor, but weren't until then. There have also been studies don't that prove that with or without the antibiotics the risk of baby getting GBS is the same.

If your baby is full term it’s apparently fairly low risk that they’ll develop a life threatening illness. I’m in Norway, which has lower infant mortality than the US, and gbs testing isn’t done as a matter of course. So many babies are born to mothers who very well might be positive. But since gbs status can change so quickly, and the risk of a dangerous illness is rare for healthy full term infants, they only test here if there is some risk factor present.

I was positive with my second and didnt fully realize that my water had broken (his head ended up plugging the hole so very little water came out). 2 hours after my water broke, i saw my doctor who confirmed it and said i was at 4cm already. My hospital was 45 minutes away. As soon as we got to the hospital, we were roomed and they put an IV in right away, my son was born less than 30 mins after so i never got the full dose of antibiotics.
They did blood cultures out of precaution but doctor said he looked good. They monitored closely and have me the option to give him antibiotics as well out of precaution. If his cultures came back positive for infection, he would have needed to be sent out to a different hospital. Thankfully they were negative and he did great and still had the IV antibiotics. We could have waited on the results to decide on antibiotics for him but we opted to just do it since it can be very dangerous for baby if he had been infected. Everything turned out great and we were only in the hospital for 2 days.
We did have to delay his circumcision a week but thats it

Yup, I was positive and had a natural birth center birth. I got the first round as soon as I got there, and the second round 4 hours later. I do think they delayed pushing until I got the second round. Also, I had both rounds before my water broke.

I read you can put a garlic clove up there and take probiotics then get tested again a week or 2 later

I was GBS positive with my first and second births. I was hooked up to IV antibiotics for 40 mins when I first went in with ruptured membrane and then again 4 hours later. I was still able to labour pretty freely for those 40 minutes at a time. It didn’t lead to any other interventions whatsoever.

Take probiotics with L Ramnosis and drink ACV. I’m a Pinterest addict and I know that there are natural ways to deal with a positive gsb.
