Who should be in daycare? Infant or toddler?

I’ll be working full time for a year before my husband does. That means that he’ll be at home with a 1 1/2 year old and a 2 month old by the time I start.

This is on top of him going to college full time.

In order to save his sanity, we are thinking of putting one of them in daycare and leave the other with grandma when my husband is in class.

I also live in a 5th floor walkup and feel that info is important.

I’m thinking our toddler should go to daycare and my husband can care for our infant and drop off at grandmas since a toddler is more difficult to handle all day long.

Is this the right idea?
