Different views of parenting

(A) Ok let’s say you grew up very poor but end up becoming a successful person in life. Life good, you created a family and making decent money.

Okay this is the kicker, would you treat your family the way you grew up (poor) like limited everything when it comes to clothes, shoes, toys and food? Only buy ONE present for Christmas and birthdays? Always bring up how you never had anything as a child and you will be treated how I was??

(B). Or would you give the life you didn’t have for your family. As in, buying them all the stuff you never had as a child but not overly spoiled them. Still teach them the value of everything you buy and work hard on?
