How long did your infant fit into “Newborn” clothes??

So I’m 31 weeks pregnant , I’ll be a first time mom so all this is new to me 
(I understand all babies are different sizes , but let’s just say he’ll be around 6-7 pounds when he’s born)
I have been buying all my baby clothes all sizes from “Newborn” - 6 months. I know they grow so fast !! So most his clothes I get , are 0-3 months! 
Should I get more of other sizes ??  What size did your baby mostly wear?

My daughter was 7 pounds 8 ounces. She was in newborn for about 1.5 months. I recommend getting more 3-6 months sizes and 6-12 months.

My daughter was in NB clothes for 6 weeks. After that she wore 0-3M or 3M clothes for the next 8 weeks. 
She was born weighing 6lbs 13oz.

So my first was 8lbs 13 oz. I squeezed him into a couple newborn outfits in the first week.
My second was 7lbs 5oz and I didnt buy anything newborn and he was swimming in 0-3 and 3 months stuff and we had to go shopping and get him a bunch of newborn stuff. He grew fast but it all fit for 3-4 weeks

my baby was born at 8lbs 4oz and was in newborn for 2 weeks 
i suggest not getting much newborn clothes and going straight for 0-3 because you can roll the sleeves and cuff the pants legs 
also baby clothes tends to shrink in the wash so they don’t get much use out of them and seem to out grow everything fast

Both of my girls were born at 8 pounds and stayed in newborn size for atleast 2 months but they both lost a lot of weight in the hospital and they gained weight and length slowly. Im only 5'1 and weigh around 105 pounds so they are petite like momma. 😍 I would get more 0-3, 3-6, and 6-9 month clothing cause they are in those sizes the longest.
