How did your labor start?

I’m a nervous ftm and I’m just curious about others experiences so I might know what to look for 😬 I’m 37 weeks today.

First labour: waters broke - lost mucous plug - contractions started straight away every 5 minutes lasting 45 seconds. Baby arrived 12hrs after waters broke. 
Second labour: vomitting - irregular contractions (like sometimes 3 back to back without a break, sometimes none for a couple of hours) for over 48hrs - I kept walking / bouncing on my ball / practicing my breathing techniques - finally my husband & mum persuaded me to go to the birthing centre, I was 7cm & baby was born 1hr later, after 8minutes of pushing. 
Irregular contractions don't mean you're not in real labour, my waters didn't break until I was almost pushing, and I didn't lose my plug all in one obvious piece - shows how different each labour can be! Good luck 😊

40 weeks on the dot I woke up having to go to the bath room, then my contractions started. I was almost 10cm when they broke my water at the hospital.

I was having Braxton Hicks all day the day before, at midnight they became more regular and more intense, I started loosing  my mucus plug and 10hrs later I had him.

With my eldest I went for a little walk got back had a pain that lasted around 30 seconds instantly started being sick! Pains kept coming every 4 mins Waters broke at 2.50am and finally had him at 6.39am 
With my second I had cleaned the whole house sat down to rest and had a pain 13.10 they came every 3 minutes instantly went to the hospital around 6pm. They broke my waters at 9.30pm and I had him at 10.04pm 
Currently 39 and 5 🙈😱 and patiently waiting to uncover my third story 💙

Contractions started around 2am and I walked around the house during that. I laid back down to get some rest around 8am and my water broke but only a trickle. So I went to my obgyn to confirm. They said yes it had broken and sent me off to the hospital.

I was having bad Braxton Hicks, couldn’t get comfortable. Went to bed woke up the next morning and still was having them. Then around 9 am I started having and diarrhea. Had it five times while having contractions.
 *they were really contractions not Braxton Hicks the whole time lol 
Called the doctor and they told me to take a bath that I was probably fine. I got in the bath around 12. Didn’t help just made me hot. 
Got out around 1:00. They were getting pretty close together now. 
Called doctor again. Told me to come into the office. 
My sister got me around 2:00. When I got to the office at 2:30 they checked me and I was indeed having contractions. Five minutes apart. Check me for dilation and I was 4.5 cm! They told me I have to get the hospital ASAP. Lol got there around 4:00
Had baby girl at 8:53 that night.

I started getting period-ish like cramps. I took a bath and they didn’t subside. A few hours later I finally started timing them and they were 5 minutes apart when we finally went to the hospital. I was exactly 39 weeks.

Well personally for me, with both of my kids labor had to be induced. I’ve never gone into labor naturally 😱 and I’m guessing it will be the same thing for my current pregnancy as well
