How would you pronounce the name Uriah?

I love the name Uriah but someone just told me that it reminds them of urea in urine 😠 it boils my blood but I don’t want to do that to my boy if that’s what the majority thinks.... 🙁 I thought it was common sense to pronounce it like you would Mariah, Zeriah, names like that...I guess not.

When I first read it, I pronounced it in my head as “yur-ee-uh” soo yeah closer to urine/urethra. Sorry! I’ve never seen/heard the name before but that was my automatic reading

The "h" at the end makes the "i" a long vowel sound (pronounced like "eye.") Anyone who knows how to read should be able to decipher it-- unfortunately, most people don't. 😅
My bigger concern with the name is that, at first, I thought it was a girls' name. (Because it's pronounced like Moriah.) 
Ultimately, you have to choose a name YOU love. You're never going to find one that everyone else "approves" of-- and frankly, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!
