Real talk baby name question - is there such thing as black names and white names?
Is there such thing as a white name or a black name for a baby?
My husband and I are white. We like the name D’Andre for a boy but a friend, she’s black, said I can’t use that name bcz I’d be stealing from her culture.
This was something I never considered. Of course I don’t want to offend anyone or have my kid get his ass beat for having a name that doesn’t belong to him.
Is this something I need to consider?
