I hope all is well. I am estimated to be due in 4 weeks. I have a history of spinal fusion surgery, where my spine is fused together (solution for scoliosis). I spoke to an anesthesiologist, and he said that he will not touch my back in regards to epidural or spinal block. Too many risks.

My options are: nitrous gas and pain meds.

If I need a C-section gd forbid, then I would be put to sleep.

My pain tolerance is at a medium level, where I will cry if I am in a lot of pain.

If you ladies were in my position, would you ask for elective surgery or go through labor without meds?
