Im in need of some advice.
This past october i had brain surgery and was put on steroid pills and it made ne put on some water weight and was thinking about taking a diuretic to help get some of it off, but im also trying to become pregnant and im just not sure if that would mess my baby making

I got put on steroids because Dr’s mis-diagnosed my symptoms & the side effects list is huge. It definitely took me longer than it says on the packet for those side effects to reduce. If you have just put on water weight then it should start shedding naturally now that you are off the pills & obviously you should reduce your salt intake aswell to help this process. But I dont think its sensible to take another drug to try and remove the effects of another. Your body needs time to clear itself & the aim with ttc is to get your body in as best physical form in preparation for pregnancy, have the proper vitamin intake & avoid any foreign  substances that could interfere with those plans. For some people they choose to stop drinking coffee, alcohol or reduce contact with anything that is not suitable for pregnancy such as some essential oils, teas, foods etc. in the thinking that if they do conceive & arent aware until it is confirmed then  they haven’t been subjecting the fetus to anything harmful.

I had (I’m now sure how many 2-5) brain surgeries due to an accident 4 years ago. I was on steroids for 2 years but they never made me gain weight, I was actually loosing WAY TOO MUCH weight and doctors had to discontinue . Overall it took me 2 years to conceive. I have 6 OBGYNs only because of that , and they all think that was the problem but I would definitely talk to your doctor.
