You read it correctly. My ex boyfriend came to my rescue. He called me yesterday with some pretty horrific news. (A little background, we dated for four years and have been broken up for three.) He still comes around here and there to check in on me and see if I’ll meet up with him but he knows I’m as loyal as can be and would never agree to it. Anyway, my ex boyfriend was talking to this woman and he noticed my current boyfriend liking all of her pictures on Instagram.

So... he asked this female how she knew my boyfriend. She explained that he messages her often and texts her as well. My ex asked her to play along with him and see what he says/does. My dumb boyfriend fell for it, gave her his attention/flirted and was exchanging pictures with her. Now on his Instagram, there is one photo of us but my back is turned and I’m not tagged in it.

He told her things such as “I’m single” and asked her to meet up with him. Now in the beginning I didn’t believe my ex. I know he has feelings for me and essentially doesn’t want to see me with anyone else. On the same end of the spectrum, he will not let another man play me and that’s for sure. I knew he wasn’t lying when he had all of this personal information about my man that this woman shared with him that he would have no way of knowing otherwise. So... here’s how I caught him red handed.

He was taking the train to come and meet me last night and I picked him up. He got in the car all smiles and leaned in to kiss me. I said “we need to talk”. I asked him who the girl was because by this point I had her name. He looked puzzled and I proceeded to ask for his phone. With no hesitation, he pulled it out and I asked him to open up his Instagram.

I saw nothing between him and this woman that my ex told me about. However, what I did find was messages with him and two other females. One of them even asked about me and he said “It’s too early for a title” and “We’re just casually dating” 🤬 Now we’ve been dating for six months and he tells me he loves me every day. Doesn’t sound too casual huh?

He also messaged another female saying “I’d be all over you in that dress.” (These messages were sent within the week). I got it out of him that he was texting this female that I originally questioned him about and on top of it, found more disrespect in his DM’s. Ladies, I have to say I was in love with this man. I never would have questioned his loyalty to me one bit. The best part is....

He has NO IDEA that my ex boyfriend came to me with this information. He just thinks somehow one of these females got in touch with me and spilled the beans. Im heartbroken and he’s of course apologizing left and right and trying to say whatever he can to change my mind. I’m not having it. Needless to say, he went right back on that train and I went home in hysterics.

I’m sharing this story because no matter how good you are to someone, if they are a cheater or posses that trait inside of them, there is nothing you can do to escape it. There is also no way of knowing indefinitely. Protect your hearts ladies! Listen to your gut when you feel that something is wrong or off. I’ve never been more grateful for my ex in my life. I owe him a lot for protecting me from what could have been a future relationship of infidelity. 😥 Wish me luck. This isn’t going to be easy for me to get over.
