Mucus plug??

Can anybody tell me what does it mean when you start to lose it? Is labor close? Am i starting to dilate? I’m 38 weeks.

People can lose their mucus plugs when they’re 25 weeks and not go into labor till 40. It’s not a super good indicator of how near labor is since you can lose pieces at a time and it can regenerate. Good luck!

With my first baby I never lost mine maybe because I was induced but my second baby I lost it just a couple of days before I went into labor. This is my 3rd pregnancy I’m 37 weeks and haven’t lost it yet.
