Learned behaviour.

This is something that has been rattling around in my mind for a while and it seems like it could make for an interesting conversation. It is often said that hatred is a learned behaviour, that it must be taught. People say that children do not see difference and do not engage in hateful behaviour until they are taught, either directly or through observation, to hate things, people, etc.

If that is the case, who taught the first person to hate? If hate is not something we are born with and the world is essentially good, where did hate come from and how did the first person come to learn hatred as a behaviour?
