What are you planning for birth control, IUD?

I am trying to figure out what birth control to go with. No pills because I am breast feeding. I don't want Depo shot because of side affects. I am thinking of doing an IUD but not sure what kind. I have read skyla is smaller and the lowest hormones. What have your doctor's recommended or are you planning? Any knowledge on which is better, mirena, kyleena or skyla? Thank you!

I got the copper iud after my first. Periods were heavier, but no other side effects for me. And no hormones, so it didn’t affect breastfeeding.

I am going back to nuvaring after baby. I absolutely love it and it didn’t interfere with my milk supply at all after my first.

I’m definitely doing an IUD just trying to decide which. I’ve been on and off pills since 16, but to be honest I’m so bad at taking them. I already have really heavy periods and used to get terrible cramps so that makes me nervous about copper. But at the same time I don’t love the idea of hormones while breastfeeding. Ugh!!

I’m getting nexplanon birth control arm insert. Safe for breast feeding and doesn’t have any negative impacts on your supply. Insert last for 4 years and extremely effective.

I heard progestin only birth control pills have no affect on breastfeeding so I'm going with the pill, I hate any implants and what not.

My doctor said you can go on progesterone only BC pills, aka the mini-pill, while breastfeeding. That’s what I’m planning on using. I read that you just have to be more disciplined about taking it at the same time each day compared to the combo estrogen-progesterone BC pills.

Is it a myth that the majority of full-time breastfeeding women doesn't get pregnant because they don't even have a cycle?

Following. This has been on my mind. I never liked how I felt while on BC but the idea of implants just freak me out. Need to sit down and weight the pros and cons.
