Can someone give me a general idea of how child support works? I know it's different for everybody.

Background: My son's father and I aren't together, but are planning to "Co parent", though I'll do all the work and have primary custody, and he'll stop by every couple days.

1. Is there a minimum amount he has to pay every month? For ex. He does landscaping in the warm months but gets paid under the table, so he's technically "unemployed". Would he still have to pay something?

2. Does child support have anything to do with visitation?
